Bulletins for 2022
Group Visits
Throughout the year we welcome visits from any social group or schools wishing to see the work being undertaken on the locks. Unfortunately, there is limited access for the general public to the site itself but we will try wherever possible to provide a guided tour of the remaining stretch of canal between the locks and the overspill in Nightingales Bush. We are always encouraged to hear your comments about progress on the restoration work.

Over the past few years we have received financial support from Men's Sheds and Pontypridd Town Council. We have also been supported by the South Wales Fire Service and a number of individuals who have given generously in memory of one of our first volunteers and Treasurer Vic Pearce. This will help us in a significant way to continue our work on the Pontypridd locks of the Glamorganshire Canal.
Again, if you are a member of a group or organisation and would like to see our presentation on the history of the canal, its link to local industry and the work being undertaken at the locks, please contact us and we will shall be pleased to come along. |
